Helb - Campus Duden

The architects? expression is most visible in the details and finishing

Constructing the extension of a college of higher education between two concrete slabs measuring 1500 m² is the challenge of the HELB project at the Campus Duden. What’s more, this centre of higher learning for public relations requires large classrooms, meeting areas, and a new library; all with a restricted budget.

The architects’ expression is most visible in the details and finishing ; applying  coloured ventilation grids against grey toned walls, coffering heating batteries to create seating areas, applying giant pictograms on the doors, installing ribbon-like staircase runners. This creates consistent architectural punctuation and overall coherence throughout the entire new campus.
